Mashpee Storm Damage Collapses Ceiling

Intense storms in the Mashpee area brought storm damage to this home. After water entered the house, it ran into the floor joists between the basement and first floor and brought down a portion of the ceiling as the water entered. SERVPRO technicians found seepage under part of the tile floor and removed the minimum amount of tile to dry the concrete substrate underneath. The sheetrock on the walls wicked a significant amount of water and required complete removal to open up the walls of complete drying. The techs removed most of the furnishings from the basement during the restoration services and cleaned them outside the worksite. After drying, all surfaces got cleaned using professional cleaning agents and the framework got readied for the final repairs to make the restoration complete.
