Sandwich Home Gets Water Damage on Wall to Wall Carpet
When a water tank leaks, it can deliver a large amount of water damage in rapid fashion. This Sandwich living room found out how fast their wall to wall carpet could absorb water from a tank leak. Due to the amount of water, the carpet and pad required removal to dry the substrate underneath. SERVPRO techs moved the furnishings to the center of the room and covered them in plastic to keep them safe during the mitigation. A portion of the sheetrock needed removal to open up the interior of the walls for complete drying after the techs extracted the water from within the structure.
