East Sandwich Water Loss Plus Mold Damage in Kitchen

This kitchen in East Sandwich had a dishwasher leak that resulted in mold damage throughout the room. During remediation, SERVPRO technicians commonly use containment to protect other areas of the home from cross-contamination from airborne mold spores. The air scrubber seen running in the Before Photo is a standard component to capture mold spores and port than offsite through the plastic tubing directed outside. The mold infestation was extensive and the cabinet and sink required removal which exposed the colonies on the sheetrock as seen in the After Photo. A portion of the tile flooring needed removal as part of the remediation process. Once dry, this kitchen would get treated with antimicrobial cleaners and sealant to prevent any return of the infestation.
